While the iPhone app is already around for a while, the iPad version took some more time. Released today, the game is well done and makes fun, while you play against the AI players. You can play against other human players as well, but only on one iPad, sincec thereis no connected multiplayer mode.
And that is a crucial point: playing on one iPad means, only the active player shoudl look on the iPad, while the others must not, since otherwise they could see the cards and resources of the active player. So multiplayer is not practicable this way! In fact I am missing a connected mode with the iPhone version: let the iPad be the board and each iPhone a rack for one player – scrabble has already done this. Adding this would make a real fun multiplayer experience (though this is quite expensive game material: 1 iPad + 4 iPhones…).
